Question: What if I lost something in the Park?

Answer: You can contact the park office to see if your item was recovered by our staff.  We keep lost and found items for 60 days.

Question: Why do you close Athletic Fields?

Answer:

Determining the playability of an athletic field is crucial to the continued health of the turf and the sustainability of the field throughout the season. The Department will close its athletic fields if park staff determines that fields are too wet for play, or if other issues arise that would compromise patron safety. League users also share in the responsibility to close fields for play when safety and/or field damage is possible.  It is important to note that not every field handles water in the same manner.  Some fields drain better, while some tend to hold moisture.  Therefore you may see some fields open while others remain closed.

Question: Can I take pictures in the parks?

Answer:

Yes with the following conditions: You may take all the personal photos you wish as long as they are not published or sold.  If you are a professional photographer or if you plan to have a professional take photos and/or videos you need to get permission from the Moon Park office.  Fees may apply.

Question: Where can I find all the park rules and regulations?

Answer:

The park rules and regulations can be obtained at the Moon Park office and the Moon Township Municipal Building.

Question: What is the best way for me to contact the Township about a non-emergency concern?

Answer:

The township offers a feature on its website called the Citizen Request System that you can use to submit your concern and track its resolution through ongoing email updates. This ensures a timely response from our staff, and is available to you 24 hours a day, seven days a week. You can access the Citizen Request System.
