For all classes: 

  • Space is limied, please register online or call the Moon Park office at 412-262-1703 ext 403. 
  • This class is weather dependent rain prevents the class from running, an additional class will be added to the session. 
  • The Robin Hill Center is closed to the public, for classes on the Robin Hill Patio, please walk around the main building to the back patio where the class will be held. Public bathrooms are available at the entrance of the park. 
  • For classes at Moon Park, multiple public bathrooms are available in the park.

Hip Hop Cardio (Adults and Teens 14+)

Join Amy for some cardio dance exercise! You can take the moves up to make them harder or modify for any fitness level.  Our new instructor wants to help everyone with fun fitness through dance where they can leave feeling like they had a great workout and had fun!  Class will include warm up and cool down also.  Amy has been teaching Zumba, Insanity and more since 2009.

Pilates (Adults and Teens 15+) 
Date: Tuesdays  May 10-June 14
                        June 21-July 26

Fee:  $45 Residents/$50 Non-Residents, per 6 week session.

The Pilates method of body conditioning is a unique system of stretching/strengthening exercises that work the entire body. Expect to flatten your abs, strengthen your core muscles, increase flexibility, firm buttocks/thighs, and improve your posture. For all fitness levels. Bring a mat, light hand weights (3lbs or less) and water.

Barre (Adults & Teens 15+)

This class has a max participation number of 18 people. Please register online. For more information about space availability for drop-ins, please email  This class will be held outside. Class will be weather dependent. If rain prevents the class from happening, we will add an additional class to the end of the session. Restrooms are available at the entrance of the park.  A total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs, arms and burns fat. This workout includes elements of ballet, Pilates, and traditional toning exercises. The class starts with standing barrework. The class ends with core work and a series of deep stretches. Bring a mat and a pair of 1-3lb dumb bells. For all fitness levels.

Yoga Beginners and Beyond (Adults & Teens 15+)

Yoga-curious or yoga-nervous? Then this is the class for you...No experience required! Instructor Jen Stratakis E-RYT 500, will lead you through an hour-long class, which includes standing and seated poses, breathwork, and guided relaxation. Modifications are given to accommodate everyone. With regular practice, yoga can improve lung capacity, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, mental calm, and more. Bring a mat, water bottle, and any other yoga props you may have. Blocks are especially helpful.  

Pound® Fitness (Adults & Teens 15+) 
Dates:  Tuesdays May 10-June 14

Fee:          $45 – Moon Resident $50 Non Moon Resident (Per 6 week session)

POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, strength movements, plyometric and isometric poses. Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighed exercise drumsticks, called Ripstix, you?ll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds as each song flies by!  Please bring a mat and water.

Totally Toned (Adults & Teens 15+)

Dates:  Mondays  May 9-June 20 (No class 5/30)
Location: Robin Hill Center
Time:        6:30 – 7:30pm
Fee:          $45 – Moon Resident $50 Non Moon Resident (Per 6 week session)

This class has a max participation number of 15 people. Please register online. There are no drop-ins for this class. This class is designed to help tone your entire body including abs, thighs, back, arms, and glutes. It is appropriate for all fitness levels. Bring hand weights and a mat.

Pilates with Kimber (Adults & Teens 15+)

Dates: Wednesdays April 20, May 4, 18, 25 & June 1, 22 (6 weeks)
          Wednesdays July 6-August 17th (no class 7/13, 8/10)- 5 week session

Time:                  10:30am-11:15am
Fee for Session: $45 – Moon Resident $50 Non Moon Resident (Per 6 week session)
                        $37.50-resident, $42.50-Non-Resident (Per 5 week session)

This class has a max participation number of 12 people. Please register online. This class will incorporate all the key principles of Pilates such as postural alignment, breathing, core stability, controlled movement and flexibility. They are low-impact. Class format may also be combined with other props such as weights, balls, therabands, rings.  Bring your ball, mat and water for this fun-lengthening-amazing workout.

Men’s 55+ Softball League -Cancelled
May 4th-May 25th (Wednesdays) 
$15 (resident)/ $20 (non-resident)

Registration: February 1st- April 27th 
Whether you miss “suiting up” or want to stay active, this league is a great way to meet new people, share old stories and have fun. Join us for our “Sandlot style” pickup games where teams are picked each week. Equipment provided by Moon Parks & Rec.

Senior Workout Drop-in (Age 55+)
Dates: May 4th-June 29th (Wednesdays)
Times: 11:00am-12:00pm
Fees: $5/class
Location: Moon Park Amphitheater

This class will help seniors (55+) maintain a fitness level to stay mobile. It is a LOW impact aerobics class that will work on balance and strengthening while having fun and meeting new people. The class will be held outdoors mostly at Moon Park Amphitheater. The class is weather dependent and will have a max capacity of 15 students. 

Adult Home Run Derby- (Slow pitch Softball) 
Date: May 15th 
Time: 2:00-3:00pm 
Fee: $10 (resident)/ $15 (non-resident) 
Location: Brewer Toyota Field
Registration: February 1st- May 8th 
Swing for the fences in this year’s Adult Home Run Derby. The competition will take place over the course of 2-4 rounds (depending on # of participants). Each batter will be given 2 minutes to hit as many home runs as possible. Equipment provided by Moon Parks & Rec. Participants must provide their own pitcher.  

Cardio Tennis (18+)
Date: May 13th-July 29th (No class May 27th & July 1st)
Day/Time: Fridays, 9-10am
Fee: $15 per class

This is a high intensity program with fun on the court. Music, ladders, easy-to-hit balls, and lots of running will have you burning 800-1000 calories in an hour! Perfect for someone looking for a change in their fitness routine

Intro to Tennis (Adult)- BEGINNER Level Only

FREE (registration required)

This is a free tennis clinic for anyone 18 and older who has little to no experience playing tennis. Beginner level only. Certified professionals will teach each session focusing on skill development. Please register in advance.

Women's Sand Volleyball League (Ages 18+)
Dates: Wednesdays, June 15th-July 27th
Time: Games at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30pm
Location: Moon Parks Sand Volleyball Court
Fee: $40 (resident)/ $45 (non-resident)

Grab your friends and hit the sand! This rec league is open to all skill levels and abilities. Participants can join an existing team or form a new one. Final teams and game schedules will be distributed in early June. 

League is limited to 6 teams
