  • Programs with a drop-in option do not require pre-registration.

  • Call the Parks and Recreation office at 412-262-1703 to pay with credit card.
  • Send in a check to our mailing address with the participants name, date of birth, address, phone and e-mail. You will not be officially registered in the class until you receive a confirmation e-mail.

ATHLETICS/FITNESS  

For all classes: 

  • Space is limied to 9 students, please register online or call the Moon Park office at 412-262-1703 ext 403. 
  • This class is weather dependent rain prevents the class from running, an additional class will be added to the session. 
  • The Robin Hill Center is closed to the public, for classes on the Robin Hill Patio, please walk around the main building to the back patio where the class will be held. Public bathrooms are available at the entrance of the park. 
  • For classes at Moon Park, multiple public bathrooms are available in the park.

 

Women's Sand Volleyball Fall 2021

Dates: Tuesday Sept 7 - Oct 5 (5 weeks) 
Time: Gametimes between 5:30-8:30pm
Ages: 18+
Fee: $35 Moon Resident/$40 Non-Resident Fee 
Location: Moon Park Sand Volleyball Court 


Form a team of friends or neighbors to pass, dig, and volley! All skill levels are welcome. Join an existing team or start a new one! Please note that this years league will be played outdoors in the sand. When registering please be sure to include your team name or if you would like to join a new team. Registration is required to participate. 



Hip Hop Cardio 

Dates: Thursday August 19 - September 30 (Off Sept 16)
Location: 8/19-9/9 - Moon Park Amphitheater     9/23,9/30 - Robin Hill Center
Time: 7:00 – 8:00pm
Cost: $45 – Moon Resident $50 Non Moon Resident (Per 6 week session)

Join Amy for some cardio dance exercise! You can take the moves up to make them harder or modify for any fitness level.  Our new instructor wants to help every with fun fitness through dance where they can leave feeling like they had a great workout and had fun!  Class will include warm up and cool down also.  Amy has been teaching Zumba, Insanity and more since 2009.


Barre

Dates: Session 1: Wednesday August 25 - September 29
           Session 2: Wednesday October 6 - November 11
Location:Moon Park: August/September (Session 1 and 2)
              Robin Hill Center - Session 2
Time: 8:30 – 9:30 am
Cost: $45 – Moon Resident $50 Non Moon Resident (Per 6 week session)

This class has a max participation number of 18 people. Please register online. For more information about space availability for drop-ins, please email pilatesbodyj@gmail.com.  This class will be held outside. Class will be weather dependent. If rain prevents the class from happening, we will add an additional class to the end of the session. Restrooms are available at the entrance of the park.  A total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs, arms and burns fat. This workout includes elements of ballet, Pilates, and traditional toning exercises. The class starts with standing barrework. The class ends with core work and a series of deep stretches. Bring a mat and a pair of 1-3lb dumb bells. For all fitness levels.


Yoga Beginners and Beyond

Dates: Session 1: Sept 23 - Oct 14 (4 Weeks)
          Session 2: Oct 28 - Nov 11 (3 Weeks)
Location: Robin Hill Center
Time: Thurs 5:30-6:30pm
Cost: $40 – Moon Resident  $45 Non Moon Resident (Per 4 week session)

This class has a max participation number of 16 people. Please register online. There are no drop-ins for this class.
Yoga-curious or yoga-nervous? Then this is the class for you...No experience required! Instructor Jen Stratakis E-RYT 500, will lead you through an hour-long class, which includes standing and seated poses, breathwork, and guided relaxation. Modifications are given to accommodate everyone. With regular practice, yoga can improve lung capacity, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, mental calm, and more. Bring a mat, water bottle, and any other yoga props you may have. Blocks are especially helpful.  


Pound® Fitness 

Dates:  Sept 14 - Oct 19 
Location: Robin Hill Center
Time: 7:00 – 7:45pm
Cost: $45 – Moon Resident $50 Non Moon Resident (Per 6 week session)

POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, strength movements, plyometric and isometric poses. Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighed exercise drumsticks, called Ripstix, you?ll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds as each song flies by!  Please bring a mat and water.


Totally Toned

Dates:  Sept 13 - Oct 18 (6 Weeks)
Location: Robin Hill Center
Time: 6:30 – 7:30pm
Cost: $45 – Moon Resident $50 Non Moon Resident (Per 6 week session)

This class has a max participation number of 15 people. Please register online. There are no drop-ins for this class.
This class is designed to help tone your entire body including abs, thighs, back, arms, and glutes. It is appropriate for all fitness levels.
Bring hand weights and a mat.
