  • Programs with a drop-in option do not require pre-registration.
  • Signup in person at the Parks and Recreation office.
  • Online registration here.
  • Call the Parks and Recreation office at 412-262-1703 to pay with credit card.
  • Send in a check to our mailing address with the participants name, date of birth, address, phone and e-mail. You will not be officially registered in the class until you receive a confirmation e-mail.

ATHLETICS/FITNESS  

For all classes: 

  • Space is limied to 9 students, please register online or call the Moon Park office at 412-262-1703 ext 403. 
  • This class is weather dependent rain prevents the class from running, an additional class will be added to the session. 
  • The Robin Hill Center is closed to the public, for classes on the Robin Hill Patio, please walk around the main building to the back patio where the class will be held. Public bathrooms are available at the entrance of the park. 
  • For classes at Moon Park, multiple public bathrooms are available in the park.


Pilates (Adults and Teens 15+)
Date:
Wednesdays, June 3-July 1
Time: 8:30a.m.-9:30a.m.
Location: Robin Hill Back Patio
Fee: $45 Residents/$50 Non-Residents, per 6 week session.
The Pilates method of body conditioning is a unique system of stretching/strengthening exercises that work the entire body. Expect to flatten your abs, strengthen your core muscles, increase flexibility, firm buttocks/thighs, and improve your posture. For all fitness levels. Bring a mat, light hand weights (3lbs or less) and water.

Barre (Adults & Teens 15+)
Dates: Mondays, June 8-July 13
Times: 8:30-9:30am
Location: Moon Park Amphitheater 
Fee: $45 Moon residents/$50 non-residents (per 6 week session)
A total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs, arms and burns fat. This workout includes elements of ballet, Pilates, and traditional toning exercises.The class starts with standing barrework. The class ends with core work and a series of deep stretches. Bring a mat and a pair of 1-3lb dumb bells. For all fitness levels.

This class will be held outside. Class will be weather dependent. If rain prevents the class from happening, we will add an additional class to the end of the session.

Yoga: Beginners (Ages 15+ and Adults)
Dates: Thursdays CANCELLED
Time: 5:15-6:15pm
Location: Robin Hill Patio (back of main building)
Fee: $40 Moon residents/$45 Non-residents -per 4 week session- No Drop-ins. 
Yoga-curious or yoga-nervous? Then this is the class for you...No experience required! Instructor Jen Stratakis E-RYT 500, will lead you through an hour-long class, which includes standing and seated poses, breathwork, and guided relaxation. Modifications are given to accommodate everyone. With regular practice, yoga can improve lung capacity, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, mental calm, and more.  
Bring a mat, water bottle, and any other yoga props you may have. Blocks are especially helpful.   

Yoga: 1/2 Experienced Beginners (Ages 15+ and Adults)
Dates: Thursdays CANCELLED
Time: 6:30-7:30pm
Location: Robin Hill Patio (back of main building)
Fee: $40 Moon residents/$45 Non-residents -per 4 week session- No Drop-ins.
Some yoga familiarity is required for this mixed levels class. If you have never taken a yoga class before, please try the earlier class to start.  Instructor Jen Stratakis E-RYT 500, will lead you through an hour-long class, which includes standing and seated poses, backbends, twists, core strengthening, breathwork, and guided relaxation. Bring a mat, water bottle, hand towel, and any other yoga props you may have. Blocks are especially helpful. 

Pound® (Adults and Teens 15+)

Tuesdays, June 16-July 21
Time: 7:00-8:00pm
Location: Moon Park Amphitheater 
Fee: $45 Moon residents/$50 non-residents ($10 Drop-In)
POUND® is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, strength movements, plyometric and isometric poses. Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighed exercise drumsticks, called Ripstix, you’ll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds as each song flies by!

Totally Toned (Adults & Teens 15+)
Dates: Mondays, June 15-July 20
Times: 6:30-7:30pm
Location: Robin Hill Patio (back of main building)
Fee: $45 Moon residents/$50 non-residents (per 6 week session)
This class is designed to help tone your entire body including abs, thighs, back, arms, and glutes. It is appropriate for all fitness levels. Bring hand weights, a mat and water.



ART/EDUCATION/NATURE

Splash – Water/Mixed Media Art Classes (Adults 18+)

Location:  Robin Hill Center – 949 Thorn Run Rd., Moon Twp. PA
Fee: Moon Residents $74 Residents, Non-Residents $79. *Fee does not include supplies.
This class is designed for new and returning students. This is an eight-week course designed to engage all students in the fun and exciting world of water-based materials. No previous experience is necessary - just a desire to have fun.
