There are four ways to register for most of our classes:

  • You can sign up in person at the Parks and Recreation office.
  • Limited online registration is open here.
  • You can call the Parks and Recreation office at 412-262-1703 to pay with credit card.
  • You may send in a check to our mailing address with the participants name, date of birth, address, phone and e-mail. You will not be officially registered in the class until you receive a confirmation e-mail.

Kent Johnson is a USPTA P1/PTR Tennis Professional, a distinction in which only 3% of tennis professionals worldwide can claim. Kent has trained and developed some of the top tennis players in the US with many of his former students accepting full tennis scholarships to college. POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, strength movements, plyometric and isometric poses. Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighed exercise drumsticks, called Ripstix, you’ll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds as each song flies by!

The Pilates method of body conditioning is a unique system of stretching/strengthening exercises that work the entire body. Expect to flatten your abs, strengthen your core muscles, increase flexibility, firm buttocks/thighs, and improve your posture. For all fitness levels.

Beginner's Zumba (Adults & Teens 13+)

This class is designed for you to have fun while you burn calories. It is a great way to begin an exercise regime. Zumba Fitness is a combinati8on of Latin based dance moves; salsa, cumbia, soca, flamenco, samba, hip-hop, and more that will really make you sweat! Dance experience not required.

Totally Toned (Adults & Teens 15+)

This class is designed to help tone your entire body including abs, thighs, back, arms, and glutes. It is appropriate for all fitness levels. Bring hand weights, a mat and water.

Yoga: Basics and More (Adults & Teens 15+)

Whether you are yoga-curious or yoga-proficient, this is the class for you. No experience required. Instructor, Jen Stratakis E-RYT, will lead you through an hour-long class, which includes standing and seated poses, breathwork and guided relaxation. Modifications are given to accommodate all levels of yoga experience. With regular practice, yoga can improve lung capacity, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, mental calm and more. Participants should bring a yoga mat and water. Namaste!

Zumba Fitness (Ages 13+ and Adults)

Youth Flag Football (Ages 4-14)

Learning football fundamentals such as running, catching & throwing. Teams will be formed and some games will be played. Upper levels compete against other local programs.  Volunteer coaches needed - must submit all PA required clearances.


Teen Driver’s Education/ Kennedy School of Driving
Dates: Monday-Friday June 19-July 30
                                    July 31-August 11
Time: 9:00am-Noon
Location: Moon Township Municipal Building
Fee: Registration - $25 Moon residents/$30 non-residents, Course Fee $375
Moon Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a Driver’s Education course. The course will be instructed by the Kennedy School of Driving which has been certified for over 30 years by the PA Dept of Education. Upon successful completion of the 30 hours of theory and 6 hours of in-car training, a certificate will be given that is accepted by most insurance companies. Participants must be 16 and have a learners permit for the on-the-road portion of the program. The balance of $375 is paid to Kennedy School of Driving at the first class. The End of Course Skills Testing has now been approved at MAHS.
