Moon Township Parks & Recreation has many volunteer opportunities. We welcome people of all ages, abilities, and interests to join us in improving our community programs, events, and facilities. Our Community Outreach Coordinator Lauren Madison will help you to find the volunteer opportunity that fits your interests best.
Certain programs serve many children and seniors. Due to this contact with state defined vulnerable populations, volunteers may be required to complete their ACT 153 Clearances. These clearances include the PA Criminal History Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and the FBI Federal Criminal History Fingerprint Check. Volunteers who have been residents of the state of PA may complete a disclosure statement in place of the FBI Criminal History Clearance.
Fleur de Lune Garden at Robin Hill Park - Get ready to garden and join the Moon Township Garde Club at Robin Hill Park to begin this year's garden transormation! The club has exciting plans for the garden and is looking for help with maintaining this beautiful green space for the community throughout the summer. Projects include cleaning, composting, planting, mulching & more.
Trail Trimming & Park Cleanups - Moon Township Parks and Recreation maintains over 30 miles of trails. These trails are well loved by the public but require steady maintenance and repair. We are always seeking volunteer groups to join us for a day of trail building at one of our Parks, as well as volunteers to pick up and bag trash in highly populated park areas such as pavilions and playgrounds, etc.
Please contact us to schedule your volunteer group for an event, based upon availability! A certain number of volunteer slots are set for each community event that we host.
We encourage corporate, community, family, school, or organizational groups to volunteer at our Parks! Contact us to schedule a date for your group this Spring, Summer of Fall!
