ATHLETICS/FITNESS 

Pilates (Adults and Teens 15+)
Date: Wednesdays, TBA
Time: 8:30a.m.-9:30a.m.
Location: Robin Hill
Fee: $45 Residents/$50 Non-Residents, per 6 week session ($10 Drop-Ins)
The Pilates method of body conditioning is a unique system of stretching/strengthening exercises that work the entire body. Expect to flatten your abs, strengthen your core muscles, increase flexibility, firm buttocks/thighs, and improve your posture. For all fitness levels. Please bring a mat, light hand weights (3lbs or less) and water. 

Pound® (Adults and Teens 15+)

Time: 6:30p.m.-7:15p.m.
Location: Moon Township Municipal Building
Fee: $45 Moon residents/$50 non-residents ($10 Drop-Ins)
POUND® is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, strength movements, plyometric and isometric poses. Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighed exercise drumsticks, called Ripstix, you’ll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds as each song flies by!

Senior Workout with Linda Francis
Dates: Wednesdays, TBA
Times: 9:30a.m.-10:30a.m.
Location: Moon Township Municipal Building Auditorium
Fee: $21 Moon residents/$25 non-residents, per 6 week session (Drop In for $4)
Come out and meet our instructor, Linda Francis! This class will help seniors maintain a fitness level to stay mobile. It is a “LOW” impact aerobics class that will work on balance and strengthening while having fun and meeting new people.

Totally Toned (Adults & Teens 15+)
Dates: Mondays, TBA
Times: 7:15p.m.-8:15p.m.
Location: Moon High School Fitness Room
Fee: $45 Moon residents/$50 non-residents (per 6 week session)
This class is designed to help tone your entire body including abs, thighs, back, arms, and glutes. It is appropriate for all fitness levels. Bring hand weights, a mat and water.

Yoga: Basics and More (Ages 15+ and Adults)
Dates: Tuesdays, TBA
Time: 7:30p.m.-8:30p.m.
Location: Moon Township Municipal Building
Fee: $40 Moon residents/$45 Non-residents -per 4 week session ($12 Drop-Ins)
        $60 Moon residents/$65 Non-residents -per 6 week session ($12 Drop In)
Whether you are yoga-curious or yoga-proficient, this is the class for you. No experience required. Instructor, Jen Stratakis E-RYT, will lead you through an hour-long class, which includes standing and seated poses, breathwork and guided relaxation. Modifications are given to accommodate all levels of yoga experience. With regular practice, yoga can improve lung capacity, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, mental calm and more. Participants should bring a yoga mat and water. Namaste!

Splash – Water/Mixed Media Art Classes (Adults 18+)

Fee: Moon Residents $74 Residents, Non-Residents $79. *Fee does not include supplies.
This class is designed for new and returning students. This is an eight-week course designed to engage all students in the fun and exciting world of water-based materials. No previous experience is necessary - just a desire to have fun.


MOON TOWNSHIP SENIOR CONNECTION

What is the Senior Connection?
The Moon Township Senior Connection offers senior programming to anyone 55+ in Moon Township as well as all surrounding communities.  Daily programming includes Sit & Fit, Tai Chi, Sing-A-Longs, bingo, Line Dancing, Chair Zumba, crafts, computers, cards, billiards, darts, piano, games, painting, movies of the week, and more! Visit us for a tour. Coffee and tea free every day.  Membership is FREE with the purchase of a membership card ($6).  Most registrations can be made by calling the Moon Township Senior Connection during front desk hours or by going online at www.moonparks.orgPayment is due at time of registration.

Cancellation Policy for Senior Connection Programs:
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event will incur a 25% cancellation fee.  Refunds will be made to your account.  No Show – No Refund.

Entertaining and fun whether you just listen and tap your feet or sing-a-long. FREE
  • Movie of the Week, Thursdays at 2:00pm

  • Adult paint by number with acrylics, Fridays 10:30am-11:30am

Kentucky Derby Horseracing Dinner Event
Date: Friday, May 1
Time: 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.

Fee: $20 per person

Ladies wear a Derby Hat creation, Gentlemen wear your favorite bow tie.  This afternoon starts with appetizers and assorted beverages.  Followed by a delicious buffet dinner and dessert.  Then off to the races with a DJ and video horseracing.  No money needed, betting tickets will be provided.  Prizes for winners.

Music Bingo and Karaoke

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Cleveland West Side Public Market Bus Trip
Date: Wednesday, May 20
Time: Bus departs Tapestry Senior Living parking lot at 8:00a.m.
           Bus arrives back to Tapestry parking lot at approximately 4:30p.m.
Fee: $60 per person (NOTE – lots of walking involved)

Attention ALL music fans from any era.  Depart via motor coach to Cleveland Ohio for our visit to the famous Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. After our fun, nostalgic, music filled adventure, we will travel to Cleveland’s West Side Public Market. It is Cleveland’s oldest market with 100 vendors offering everything from soup to nuts, literally. All meals on your own.
