Men's Slow Pitch Softball
Dates: Spring/Summer 2021
Are you over 55 and interested in getting outdoors, having fun, and keeping fit? Moon Parks and Recreation is working to form a men's 55+ Softball Group this summer. No league play, all for fun and exercise. Play once or twice a week beginning in May 2021 in Moon Park. If you are interested and would like more information, please contact Andrew Bott at 412-262-1703 Ext. 406 or Celeste Fryz at ext. 415 by March 1.
Hip Hop Fitness (Aduts and Teens 14+)
Dates: Thursdays January 7-February 11, 2021

Fee: $45 Moon residents/$50 non-residents
Join Amy for some cardio dance exercise! You can take the moves up to make them harder or modify for any fitness level.
Our new instructor wants to help every with fun fitness through dance where they can leave feeling like they had a great workout and had fun!
Class will include warm up and cool down also.
Amy has been teaching Zumba, Insanity and more since 2009.

The Pilates method of body conditioning is a unique system of stretching/strengthening exercises that work the entire body. Expect to flatten your abs, strengthen your core muscles, increase flexibility, firm buttocks/thighs, and improve your posture. For all fitness levels. Bring a mat, light hand weights (3lbs or less) and water.

A total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs, arms and burns fat. This workout includes elements of ballet, Pilates, and traditional toning exercises.The class starts with standing barrework. The class ends with core work and a series of deep stretches. Bring a mat and a pair of 1-3lb dumb bells. For all fitness levels.
Yoga: Beginners and Beyond (Ages 15+ and Adults)

No experience required! Instructor Jen Stratakis E-RYT 500, will lead you through an hour-long class, which includes standing and seated poses, breathwork, and guided relaxation. Modifications are given to accommodate everyone. With regular practice, yoga can improve lung capacity, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, mental calm, and more.
Bring a mat, water bottle, and any other yoga props you may have. Blocks are especially helpful.
Pound® Fitness (Adults and Teens 15+)
Dates: Tuesdays January 12-Feb 16, 2021

POUND® is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, strength movements, plyometric and isometric poses. Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighed exercise drumsticks, called Ripstix, you’ll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds as each song flies by!
Totally Toned (Adults & Teens 15+)
Dates: Mondays, January 11-February 22 (No class Feb 1)

This class is designed to help tone your entire body including abs, thighs, back, arms, and glutes. It is appropriate for all fitness levels. Bring hand weights, a mat and water.
Splash – Water/Mixed Media Art Classes (Adults 18+)

This class is designed for new and returning students. This is an eight-week course designed to engage all students in the fun and exciting world of water-based materials. No previous experience is necessary - just a desire to have fun.

What is the Senior Connection?
The Moon Township Senior Connection offers senior programming to anyone 55+ in Moon Township as well as all surrounding communities. Membership is FREE with the purchase of a membership card ($6).
Registering for Programs and Events:
Event and program registrations are currently made by calling Moon Parks and Recreation at 412-262-1703 ext. 404 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays. Payment is due at time of registration.
Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations made less than 7 days before the event will incur a 25% cancellation fee. Refunds will be made to your account. No Show - No Refund.
