There are four ways to register for most of our classes:

  • You can sign up in person at the Parks and Recreation office.
  • Limited online registration is open here.
  • You can call the Parks and Recreation office at 412-262-1703 to pay with credit card.
  • You may send in a check to our mailing address with the participants name, date of birth, address, phone and e-mail. You will not be officially registered in the class until you receive a confirmation e-mail.

Kent Johnson is a USPTA P1/PTR Tennis Professional, a distinction in which only 3% of tennis professionals worldwide can claim. Kent has trained and developed some of the top tennis players in the US with many of his former students accepting full tennis scholarships to college. The Kent Johnson Tennis Academy is dedicated to training players of all ages and abilities and employs the latest training methods for maximum results in both group and private tennis lessons. POUND is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, strength movements, plyometric and isometric poses. Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighed exercise drumsticks, called Ripstix, you’ll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds as each song flies by!

Senior Workout w/Linda Francis

Come out and meet our instructor, Linda Francis! This class will help seniors maintain a fitness level to stay mobile. It is a “LOW” impact aerobics class that will work on balance and strengthening while having fun and meeting new people.

Pilates (Adults and Teens 15+)

The Pilates method of body conditioning is a unique system of stretching/strengthening exercises that work the entire body. Expect to flatten your abs, strengthen your core muscles, increase flexibility, firm buttocks/thighs, and improve your posture. For all fitness levels.

Beginner's Zumba (Ages 13+ and Adults)
Dates: Mondays May 1-June 12 (No class May 29)

This class is designed for you to have fun while you burn calories. It is a great way to begin an exercise regime. Zumba Fitness is a combinati8on of Latin based dance moves; salsa, cumbia, soca, flamenco, samba, hip-hop, and more that will really make you sweat! Dance experience not required.

Totally Toned (Adults & Teens 15+)

This class is designed to help tone your entire body including abs, thighs, back, arms, and glutes. It is appropriate for all fitness levels. Bring hand weights, a mat and water.

Yoga: Basics and More (Ages 15+ and Adults)

Whether you are yoga-curious or yoga-proficient, this is the class for you. No experience required. Instructor, Jen Stratakis E-RYT, will lead you through an hour-long class, which includes standing and seated poses, breathwork and guided relaxation. Modifications are given to accommodate all levels of yoga experience. With regular practice, yoga can improve lung capacity, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, mental calm and more. Participants should bring a yoga mat and water. Namaste!

Moon Parks and Recreation is sponsoring a Zumba class. They are 6-week sessions that are designed to have fun while you burn calories. Splash – Water/Mixed Media Art Classes (Adults 18+)

This class is designed for new and returning students. This is an eight-week course designed to engage all students in the fun and exciting world of water-based materials. No previous experience is necessary - just a desire to have fun.

Senior Connection Socials (Adults 55+)

Location: Carriage House at Robin Hill Park
Open to anyone age 55 and older. Beginning April 5th, the Senior Connection's hours will be extended until 3pm. Join us for coffee, conversation, snacks, and many activities to suite many interests. Drop in or stay all day.

April 5th - Moonwalkers – Come & take a stroll with us.  Wii Bowling, Free Pizza Lunch, Lottery Ticket Bingo, Darts, Mini Manicures, Board Games & Card Games.
April 12th - Stretch Class, Wii Bowling, Dye Easter Eggs to take home, Darts, Mini Manicures. Friendly Family Feud Game, Board Games & Card Games.
April 19th - Moonwalkers – Come & take a stroll with us. Wii Bowling, Movie Trivia Group Game with sweet prizes, Board Games & Card Games.  Calling all Home Chefs, it’s Foodie Wednesday today- a delicious lunch will be prepared by participants.  Guaranteed fun!
April 26th - Wii Bowling, Darts, and Bingo.  Ballroom Dance Class at 11am at Robin Hill Center.  Corn Hole games begin at 11:30 at Robin Hill Center.  On the Patio, Tissue Spring Flower Making Craft.

Senior Mini Master’s Golf Tournament (Adults 55+)
