  • Programs with a drop-in option do not require pre-registration.
  • Sign up in person at the Parks and Recreation office.
  • Limited online registration is open here.
  • Call the Parks and Recreation office at 412-262-1703 to pay with credit card.
  • Send in a check to our mailing address with the participants name, date of birth, address, phone and e-mail. You will not be officially registered in the class until you receive a confirmation e-mail.

For all classes: 

  • Space is limited to 9 students, please register online or call the Moon Park office at 412-262-1703 ext 403. 
  • This class is weather dependent rain prevents the class from running, an additional class will be added to the session. 
  • The Robin Hill Center is closed to the public, for classes on the Robin Hill Patio, please walk around the main building to the back patio where the class will be held. Public bathrooms are available at the entrance of the park. 
  • For classes at Moon Park, multiple public bathrooms are available in the park.

Hip Hop Cardio Fitness (Adults and Teens 15+) 
Dates: Thursdays May 5-June 23 (No class 5/19, 6/16)
                          June 30th- August 11th (No class 7/21)
Time: 7:00-8:00pm 
Location: Robin Hill Center 
Fee: $45 Moon residents/$50 non-residents 
Instructor: Amy Humberston 
Join Amy for some cardio dance exercise! You can take the moves up to make them harder or modify for any fitness level. Amy will help everyone with fun fitness through dance where everyone can leave feeling like they had a great workout and had fun! Class will include warm up and cool down also. 
Yoga: Beginners and Beyond (Adults and Teens 15+) 
Dates: Thursdays,   May 5-26 (No class 5/19)
                             June 9-30
                             July 7-28 (No class 7/21)

Time: 5:30-6:30pm 
Location: Robin Hill Center 
Fee: $30 (resident)/$35 (Non-resident) -per 3-week session and $40 (resident)/$45 (Non-resident)- per 4 week session
Instructor: Jen Stratakis 
No experience required! Instructor Jen Stratakis E-RYT 500, will lead you through an hour-long class, which includes standing and seated poses, breathwork, and guided relaxation. Modifications are given to accommodate everyone. With regular practice, yoga can improve lung capacity, flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, mental calm, and more.  Bring a mat, water bottle, and any other yoga props you may have. Blocks are especially helpful.    
Pound® Fitness (Adults and Teens 15+) 
Dates:  Tuesdays,   May 10-June 14
Time: 7:00-8:00pm

Fee: $45 Moon residents/$50 non-residents ($10 Drop-In)

POUND® is a full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance with simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio, Pilates, strength movements, plyometric and isometric poses. Through continual upper body motion using our lightly weighed exercise drumsticks, called Ripstix, you’ll turn into a calorie-torching drummer, POUNDing off pounds as each song flies by! 
Totally Toned (Adults & Teens 15+) 
Dates: Mondays, May 9-June 20 (No class 5/30)
Times: 6:30-7:30pm 
Location: Robin Hill Center 
Fee: $45 Moon residents/$50 non-residents (per 6-week session)

This class is designed to help tone your entire body including abs, thighs, back, arms, and glutes. It is appropriate for all fitness levels. Bring hand weights, a mat and water. 
Barre (Adults & Teens 15+) 
Dates: Wednesday, May 11-June 15
                            June 22-July 27
                            August 3-September 7
Times: 8:30-9:30am

Barre is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs, arms and burns fat. This workout includes elements of ballet, Pilates, and traditional toning exercises. The class starts with standing barre work and ends with core work and a series of deep stretches. Bring a mat and a pair of 1-3lb dumb bells. This class is for all fitness levels. 

Pilates (Adults and Teens 15+)

The Pilates method of body conditioning is a unique system of stretching/strengthening exercises that work the entire body. Expect to flatten your abs, strengthen your core muscles, increase flexibility, firm buttocks/thighs, and improve your posture. For all fitness levels. Bring a mat, hand weights and water. 
Pilates with Kimber (Adults & Teens 15+) 
Dates:  Wednesday, April 20-June 22 (No class 4/27, 5/11, 6/8, 6/15)
           Wednesday, July 6-August 17 (No class 7/13, 8/10)- 5 week session
Time: 10:30-11:30am 
Location: Robin Hill Center 
Instructor: Kimber Waldorf  
Fee: $45 Moon residents/$50 non-residents- 6 week session
       $37.50 residents/ $42.50 non-residents- 5 week session
This class will incorporate all the key principles of Pilates such as postural alignment, breathing, core stability, controlled movement, and flexibility. The class is low impact. Class format may also be combined with other Club Pilates props such as weights, balls, therabands, and rings.  Bring your ball, mat and water for this fun-lengthening-amazing workout.

Youth Basketball Clinic (ages 8-14)
Dates: June 13th, 14th & 16th
Location: Moon Park Basketball Courts
Fee: $10
        Ages 8-9: 5:30-6:00pm (each day)
        Ages 10-11: 6:15-6:45pm (each day)
        Ages 12-14: 7:00-7:3pm (each day)

This is a CO-ED clinic where volunteer coaches will lead participants through various drills, focusing on the fundamentals of passing, dribbling, shooting and defense. Participants will meet Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at their assigned timeslot. The clinic will take place at the Moon Park basketball courts.

Safe@Home by Safe Sitter (Grades 4-6)

Location: Moon Park Office Classroom (downstairs)
Safe@Home by Safe Sitter® is a program designed for students in grades 4-6 to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone. Safe@Home is a 90-minute program that teaches students how to practice safe habits, how to prevent unsafe situations, and what to do when faced with dangers such as power failures or weather emergencies. Students are also introduced to the Safe Sitter® First Aid Chart and learn a system to help them assess and respond to injuries and illnesses.

Safe Sitter Essentials (Grades 6-8)
Date options: Monday March 25 12:00-4:30 pm
                     Wednesday April 13 2:00-6:30 pm
Fee: $45 Moon residents, $50 non-residents
Location: Moon Park Office Classroom (downstairs)
Safe Sitter® Essentials is a 1 day program designed for students in grades 6-8 to prepare them to be safe when they are home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. In addition, Safe Sitter® teaches young teens life and business skills, so that they know how to be prepared, be responsible, and be considerate whether they are babysitting or doing odd jobs for family, friends, or neighbors.  The majority of this instructor led class will be hands free with numerous skill demonstrations and videos to compliment the class curriculum. This class will not include CPR skills.

Youth Leadership Program (Ages 13-15) 
Dates: June 8th-August 10th (Wednesdays) 
Times: 4:00-5:00pm 
Fees: $50 (resident)/ $55 (non-resident) 
Location: Robin Hill & Moon Park 
Registration: February 1st- June 1st 
A leadership development program that helps youth (age 13-15) discover their full potential through extensive leadership training that includes guest speakers, fun and engaging activities, and service projects. Our focus is to foster growth in character development, life skills, workplace readiness and community advocacy. Through this, we will inspire and prepare youth to become active, engaged and thriving members of their community. *Dates & times of service project to be announced.
